From C-O's ebat Me page.

"The Canon Outlet is operated by Digital River, the official and exclusive Canon-branded web reseller"

DR are an outsourcing company and it looks like Canon have OS'd getting shot of their referb'd stuff to DR. This does not make Canon outlet part of Canon. DR are basically exlusive resellers for these non-new items trading under the Canon outlet name.

It's a good price. The problem was in the past they had fake bids, pushing prices up too much.

But if it is the correct site (second bid is that a scam?)
I got a few offers of those and they turned out to be scams when I reported/checked them.

i hope its legit and you got a bargin.

i cant see how it is a scam, they show up in myebay, and i can leave feedback etc, we shall see.

I also have a 10% outlet code for some neg feedback i left in december, square trade sorted that

Sorry , but how did you get the second chance offerings? The ones I got were not from the Canon outlet, but another account made to look the same.

that was the basis of my question.

That sounds OK, mine were EMAILs to my EBAY account. But 24 second chance offerings, sounds like a bit of a funny.

I think the fact it all came through your main Ebay account and the bid process means it is not the scam that came my direction.

It happens, some Amazon accounts were hacked about 6 months ago, so me and a friend never did get those 500 Canon 5D's Smile.

All transactions were canceled with an apology from Amazon.

I got my 350D from Canon Outlet on eBay. Paid for it on the 24th December and it was delivered on the 28th. I wanted a new camera and couldn't quite afford a 400D so a refurbished 350D was the way I chose to go. Not had a problem with it at all.

I have also received 2nd chance offers on 3 items this morning but I must confess that even though they came through eBay, I'm not sure about them. The way they are worded and the email address in them just reminds me of some of the scams I used to get in my inbox.

I got the emails to, i think the emails were fake ish, but they did come from the outlet, im pretty sure the outlet ebay account has been hacked.

Ive been onto the outlet via the phone this morning, ive told them the item numbers and there going to let me know.
