Quote:My Sony has arrived a day earlier than promised and is now being charged.
Cheers Chris_L (my wife however wants to hunt you down and have a little festive word in your shell like Grin)
She didn't fall for the line "What this old model? No, I've had it ages. Of course it's not new"
When she utters those words, about shoes and handbags I however have to accept it without question. Equality 2018 style.

Nice one Rhody, I had to do a little sweet talking with my other half as well, now she`s insisting I can`t have it till Christmas so its gone back in the box Smile

She wanted a nice new fridge/freezer, she`s still getting one, just not quite as expensive.

Sorry for the delay in posting an image of my Black Friday Sony A7 - (very many thanks to Chris_L for the link).
I am very happy with the camera and the fact that I can use my old 1988 Canon EF 200mm f1.8L on it.
The one thing I really like about mirrorless cameras and quality lenses is that they are so portable. Wink

So here is my brand new 2018 Sony A7 paired with a 1988 Canon EF 200mm f1.8L thanks to a Metabones adaptor on a trip to the New Forest this morning.

Jeez a few people here are going to be having wet dreams tonight after seeing what you have.

Nice Smile

OK, we have seen a picture of the camera and lens so how about a picture taken with the camera and lens Smile

Paul Morgan - That's an image in my mind I am now struggling with Grin
JJGEE - Of course - I'll try to sort something out shot at f1.8 today if the weather is OK Wink Can't have "my precious" getting wet can I? (I'll post it in here with EXIF intact)
SlowSong - It is an interesting "coupling", between a 30 year old Canon lens and a modern Sony body Smile

OK, three images just taken this morning with the Sony A7 & Canon EF 200mm f1.8L.
Two at f1.8 and one at f22 (the man and German Shepherd were an unexpected bonus but focus point was on the left bench for all images)
RAW images converted to resized Jpegs, otherwise straight out of camera

One more Sony A7 / Canon 200mm combo from this morning - F1.8 / ISO 100 - to highlight "The Shack" in winter

On reflection perhaps this one better shows the potential isolation of objects at f1.8 of the Canon EF 200mm on the FF Sony sensor. I was sat in the car waiting for the rain to pass.
