Its a fine line between a compelling photo and upsetting social media and the powers that be.

An interesting point made was how Chinese advertising its self promotes a certain stereotype. This irks me as encouraging many to look like the few fails and alienates people in so many scenarios. India used to do a similar promotion of only one type of person to the detriment of many I've known. I looked up recent Chinese advertising to see the models look like very few Chinese people that I've met.

Its also a shame the photographer has to make such an apology for upsetting the pretty police. Perhaps it just goes to prove how powerful photography can be.

Fantastic image, striking. Once seen it cannot be unseen so the photographer, model and image have done their job regardless of who decides it offends them!
