I'm getting excited that I may have time this Christmas to photograph new ideas, not just Christmas themed ones.
My list though is incomplete:
- The ePhotozine daily challenge is often cool
- Obvious family/Friend shots, but trying to up my game to be more portrait like.
- Abstract items i don't normally get to see
- Outdoor Sunrises/sets & Interesting weather near Brighton
- ?

Are you doing anything different to your normal photography over the holiday period that might inspire me to add to my list?

If you google "52 Weeks Photography Challenge" you'll find lots of lists where the idea is to shoot one theme a week, but in your case, you can cherry-pick some of the themes to fit your timescale of a xmas break.

Perhaps not a very exciting subject, but in the past I have wandered up the town between Christmas & New Year and taken shots of:- The ( real ) Christmas Tree recycling & Bottle Bank areas, Christmas Lights and general views of people out & about with cars queuing up to get into a well known food establishment with the bright yellow " M " sign.

Many years ago we used to have an epz members' meet at The British Wildlife Centre so if you have anything similar in your area maybe worth a visit.

The shorter days and longer nights of winter have there advantages, it gets pretty dark by 4pm.
