Has anyone come across software or scripts that will identify what medium a photo can be used for.

I.e. go through a folder containing photos and identify what can be print A4 and a minimum dpi of say 280.

I have adobe cloud for photographers, but have rudimental knowledge of vbs or powershell.

Thanks for any information in this matter

Adobe Bridge will let you sort images by resolution then you can create collections (without moving files just like Lightroom). The same photo can be in more than one collection so you don't have to worry about putting them into the same folder.

I would do it with Lightroom using Smart Collections, something like this below which in this example would bring up my photos of horses that I'd be happy to print on A4

There's lots of ways to sort them, another example

Thank you for your replies Fma7 and Chris, I think I will go the light room route for now, I have already made use of one smart collection as per your suggestion to help me select photos for printing.
