Good Morning All,

Does anyone use a Colour Munki for profiling their printer and can possibly help me with a problem please.

First time of using the device, gone throu the moniter calibration ok, coming to the printer part, printer off a test chart, scanned the 1st line as guided ( many times now ) and the software wont recognise the scan an dmove on the line 2, line around scan goes red then back to yellow indicating I need to re-scan, tried many times slow, slower , faster

Any assistance gratefully received Smile

Hi, I have used my color munki for creating printer profiles and it does work you just have to be very precise on moving along the lines. But since my printer broke I have worked out that unless your doing an awful lot of printing its better to send your pictures to a lab as its much cheaper.

DS Colour Labs do a very good job, they have printer profiles that you can download for the paper that they use.

I find it helps if you pause briefly over the white area at the beginning and end of the swipe along the colour patch

Agree with AlanTW. Make sure it is on the white part before "pressing the button" and don't release the button until you are on the white at the other end of the row.

I often get a "stubborn" row that needs about five attempts before it is accepted.
Keep trying and good luck.
It will be worth it when you get there.
