Compact flash reader

7 Jun 2006 6:57AM
Do digital cameras all come with a compact flash reader. I will be getting the Canon350d. Someone at PC world said they do, but I am not sure because they mentioned something about memory card in answer to my question.

No. They tend to come with USB cables.

But buy one anyway, don't bother with downloading from the camera.

And do NOT use the computer for deleting files or formatting the memory card...Do it with the camera

Cards have been known to stop functioning in the camera once formatted on a PC - one of my wife's xD cards, for example.

If you use the camera to format/delete, it will do it exactly how it 'needs' to to work.
