I down loaded Topaz yesterday on the 30 day free trial basis . But in doing so it then prevented NIk Filters from working in its various programmes , But worst of all when I accessed Topaz with an opened up image it froze my computer. I then had to just emergency close it down without saving anything.
When I removed the Topaz programmes all returned to normal.

Has anyone else experienced this problem.

I have most of the TOPAZ Plug-Ins which I use from LR or PS and have used them for many years now with no problems. I also have the Nik collection and continue to use Silver Efex pro (the only one I have ever used or wanted to). I have found no clash between these two or the various PS filters. I also have some of the On1 Plug-ins which work fine though I never need to use them having the many Topaz Plug-ins.

You might try contacting Topaz and see if they can sort your problem.

Like Dave I have both and have used both for many years through many incarnations and they have always worked happily on the same system and within the same photo. Topaz are usually very good at helping folk out with any problems they have encountered - I would go to their site - they have a dedicated section for problems, and ask their advice - they want the filters to work for everyone otherwise they lose money!

Dave and Tianshi. Thank you for your comments.
I may try uploading them again. If that fails , as you suggest I will speak to Topaz . Regards

I am a new convert to the Topaz AI sharpening and noise reduction filters - I highly recommend them. I didn't have any issues wth the installation and run both with the old Google Nik collection without issue (not the DxO updated versions). I would add though that the filters are processor intensive. I have an i5 iMac with 40GB RAM and both filters can take a long time to render the final output - but in particular AI Sharpen which is painfully slow.
