Cordless headphones without bluetooth

Quote:How does cordless work without being bluetooth...?
My ignorance probably..

Infrared, or non-bluetooth radio were common.
I've had both in the past. IR ones are still available but most seem to be for car audio systems with a built-in IR transmitter, though. The Brazilian river company has some with a transmitter included but they're a heck of a price - £261 !!!
I use a bluetooth set with their own transmitter, that just plugs into an audio jack - but they don't appear to be being made/sold any more :-(

My wife uses a pair made by Sony but they are several years old. Looking around for possible replacements that technology seems to be rare these days - everything is Bluetooth. We have another TV and for this I purchased an analogue-in/Bluetooth out box and she uses that with a set of Bluetooth ear-buds. She finds those work well, are lighter and cooler in summer.

Quote:can you still get cordless headphones for use with old telly[ no bluetooth]
Your probably better off with a simple blue tooth transmitter that you can plug into the old tv, these things can be cheap, then add to this a pair of blue tooth headphones/ear buds.
All in less than 50 quid.
Loads like this

Just make sure that the transmitter has the capacity to keep up. I understand that some of the cheaper ones can't !! [As always, there's no free lunch.]

Jeez Chris those Sony one`s look nice.
I picked up one of those blue tooth speakers to put on the bedside table so I could run the Tinnitus Therapy pro app through it lol, the lag was a bit of a problem because every time this happened the speaker would call out in a load voice connection lost every time, lol adding to this the flashing led`s on the speaker it turned the bedroom into a kind of weird disco, summer nights with the sounds of crickets become really quite romantic (not)

Lol you got to here it
To really see how funny it all was
