Not me guys, I wasn't allowed to enter. As you will see tonight I was one of the initial judges that selected work to go through to be seen by the celebrity judges.

Try not to laugh too hard at my first tv appearance Grin

Anyone know why they only accept printed photos, put me off entering this year wasting good money on printing and then they don't get returned. Nearly every other competition I know takes online entries.

There was some discussion with potentially allowing web entries, but mainly with 65k entries this may cause a problem for judging alongside printed work. You'd have to provide terminals and it would be harder to guarantee that all images have been viewed by at least one of the judges, which is the promise that the program makes.

As for not returning images, it would simply be impossible given the volumes of images that need to be viewed to keep them neatly associated with a return envelope. I guess it is easier to say no returns at all than to try to return some and possibly fail causing more problems/complaints.

I did ask if the entries are recycled and they are, so at least they are not just binned in to landfill.

Congratulations on your reign Cheryl, hopefully you will back flying the EPZ flag next year, do the images have to be taken during the current year?

Hi David, thanks. Not to my knowledge. I think they generally don't like past winners to enter again, so think I will have to look elsewhere for a new competition.

As I said last year I rarely get myself organised to enter comps, but I will try and make it a resolution for 2011 Wink

Well done for last year Cheryl, you must have been on cloud 9. Are previous finalists allowed to enter again?

Think previous finalists can generally, but best to check with the program researchers after the vote is over.
