Hi,

I'm shortly doing my first 1 on 1 shoot with a model having learnt basic techniques recently with a softbox, but I was wondering how to get crisp white backgrounds using an additional light (on a white background), e.g. what attachments best to use. I don't want to do too much photoshop work as I'm trying hard now to get it right in camera.

cheers

Hi Matt

Some advice here. Don't overexpose the background by more than 2 stops or the light can start to bleed into the edges of the main subject.

hi matt

depends on how far your model is away from bg but certainly an even light which is 2stops + different from your foreground lights will give you an white bg. Just watch edges if model is 8 - 10 feet away then you can go to 3 stops difference.
