Cybershot - Turning off auto-focus?

I'm shooting indoors with a good lighting set up, but I'm having trouble with my Cybershot continually auto-focussing when the lighting fluctuates as it reflects off a moving subject. I'm taking care to avoid hotspots that the camera might respond to, but it seems to auto-focus even when it doesn't seem necessary. Is there any way to turn it off? Thanks for any help you can giveSmile

Sorry, I should have said that I'm shooting video, not taking stills.

The camera is mainly automatic, and how this plays out is down to the user. An examination of the user manual will assist in both knowledge and then achieving the best functionality for your needs
The manual can be found at

Does it allow face detection or focus tracking in video mode? Utilising those might help you out.
