Date Imprint from EXIF

I have 400+ record photos onto which I would like to imprint the date they were taken.

Does anyone know of a PS plugin or standalone program that could do this using the EXIF data? I'm using PS Elements 2.

I suppose I could create a new layer with just a date on it, typed in manually. Can I write a batch file macro that will overlay that layer on each photo?

A quick search of Adobe Studio Exchange and brought up this below. Don't know if it works with elements but you may be able to modify it.

Thanks. I'll take a look at that tonight.

You could get the latest version of Elements and change/ or add the EXif date to them all at once with a click of the mouse in the Organiser :}

Or using ACDSee8 you can create a exif data template and add all the information you want in a batch command.
