Day 03 Nov 2010: Show off your Photoshop Skill

Today we are putting fireworks into a scene so we want to see how good you are at merging two shots together. Have you taken a sunset and moved it to a different beach? Or how about a shot of a person who is now standing on a completely different street?

The tardis was a large cardboard display in Cardiff bay. The sky is real. The rest I created from scratch.

I copied and pasted the tardis from another image, tilted it slightly and this was the result

This one :-


is the only time I have done such a thing.
The foreground, up to the pine trees, was taken on the top of some moorland
in South Wales during the winter, the sky was taken in Warwickshire the previous summer....

The background image is Lough Tay in Wicklow. The Veyron is added from a separate image taken at a motor race event. Some extra mist has been added to the background image using photoshop brushes.
