Put down the wide-angle lens as today we want to see landscapes you've taken on a longer lens.

Used my 17-85 @ 85mm to pull the Old Man of Storr closer in this image up on Skye in May.. the wide angle version lost the Old Man into the distance....

Taken with a Canon 70-300mm at Crosby Beach and not a Gormley in sight

This is a shot I took with my Canon 40D and Canon EF 70-300mm set to 100mm. I used a bit of processing to blur the foreground and background and over-saturate the colours a bit, all to give it that "toy town" look.
The location was Lennoxtown with the Campsie Fells in the background.

Zoomed in from Baslow Edge

Although I am addicted to my wide angled lens, I do find I am zooming in more often to find details in the landscape. All the above were taken with a Canon 100-400 lens Smile
