Quote:I liked the article on Annaliese, but I am wondering how many more of the old favs make it to the pages Smile

Lots of old favs and lots of new...Dan's team check our gallery from time to time, so anyone with good pics posted could get the call. I heard one of our regulars has some work in the next issue (maybe even on the cover!). I'll not saying who though, just in case they don't know yet.

Quote:Digital SLR User. Possibly the worst photography mag I've ever bought. I won't be making that mistake again.

If you think the mags bad check their website!

Picked up a copy of DSLR user last month and have to say I wasn't remotely impressed ... Digital SLR photography is getting there but it still doesn't totally seem to know who it is aiming at. Thats half the problem ..

Having taught photography for over 10 years and been Chief Examiner of a national awarding bodys photography qualification, it is always difficult to aim a course and on the same theme a magazine at a certain level ... because its human nature for us all to be at a different level in whatever we do.

Some tasks I find that some students fly with while others struggle, ergo some articles preach to the converted and some will have no appeal.

I do feel tho that once you have reached a certain level, these magazines serve no purpose at all, other than to read about the next Canon/Nikon/Sony/Pentax DSLR
