I found this article that some of you may find interesting about images found on a 20 year old roll of film here

There's probably a very logical explanation, but nobody who knows the answer can be found...strange.

It might be that the film was still in a camera that was sold from one family to the other? I have bought several cameras (one last week) with a film in it. I normally spoil the film and dispose of it unless the camera is given to me by a friend.

A few years ago, I acquired an Ensign c1953; the "Coronation" model, which came with a film in it.

It's still in there.

For a recent birthday I was given a Nikon ES-2 adapter and I have been scanning film that I took circa 1990 in Bratislava just post Velvet Revolution in 1989 and pre Velvet Divorce Jan.1993; it was long before I took a real interest in photography; I wouldn't at the time have understood the term "street photography" or any other genres; come to that 30 years on I still don't.
Here's a couple from Bratislava in what was then Czechoslovakia.

circa 1990 Czechoslovak men and women had no problem wearing their furs in public.

Over the years I have probably been given or bought about 20 cameras with part used films inside. Also about three or four used digital cameras with included memory cards. (One was a SanDisk 128 gb worth more than the camera and lens.)
My concern, apart from the cost of processing, was that I could be in possession of a film with latent indecent images included and this might involve awkward questions. And I was not very interested in any content anyway.
