I have looked at the manual, studied the specifications but cannot find the answer to my question. I am considering purchasing an external mic (Rode) for my 90D. The model of mic I am looking at requires a 3V power supply from the camera, through the 3.5mm jack socket. Canon literature is not informative on this subject.

I have a Rode microphone for my Nikons, The microphone has its own battery built in
