Here is a starter list of dog photographers for inspiration:

Nick Ridley
Valerie Shaff
Sharon Montrose
Traer Scott
Erin Vey
Zachary Folk
Deborah Samual
Jeff Moore - also May I shoot your dog? website
Kathy Wright
Paul Walker (winner of 2006 DPOY Dogs at Play)

As Dogs in Vogue is out, and on my christmas list, it would be great to get some practice in!

Please add any more inspirational photographers - professional or epz members (or both!), that I have omitted, and also any particular shots you would like to emulate - I tried the one of Sharon Montrose (on location) with the dog and woman on bed and dog looking over her shoulder - results were... different - there are also some great ones on Jeff Moore's site.

So where are you Cole???!

I always worry when you have not uploaded a dog shot for a while in case nude women and sunset landscapes have lured you away from the one true cause.... anyway I haven't read up properly on this groups thing so if there's any text or anything you can add to my hasty introduction please help!

Just haven't got the inspiration to do the dogs at the moment, Sus.
I will check out those names you mentioned.

Must admit I would love to do some pregnant bumps - but I have to wait for my potential targets to get in the family way!

Having just acquired No 2. (hmm, have I forgotten to introduce him, think I might have!), I'm going through renewed vigour!

That just sounds so like I didn't intend it too.... just that I know a few woment who wouldn't mind starting a family, and I would love to try some pregnancy shoots, much more elegant than the wrinkled puffy result when it comes out after 9 months (only joking!)

Just uploaded an introductory shot!

Great website from the lady who lives in Sudbury, thanks for that Kathy.

I am new to posting on the forums (tho I have been a member for many years, it all just got put on the backburner for a while).
I'm not quite sure what this area of the forums is for - are you all getting together to have a dog photography shoot? Or is this just a listing of people who are interested in dog photography?
Many thanks

It was a 'virtual' meeting. If you press on the blue 'click here' link you are taken to the meeting room.

As this was held on 28 November 2009, I think it's too late to join in now.

Thanks for letting me know - but I don't understand yet how these things are advertised - I mean, the post wasn't created until 1815 on 28th Nov, so how would anyone have found out about it beforehand?

Sorry for the basic newbie question, just trying to work out how things work here.
