Seems I am very slow off the mark, I thought it would be newsworthy. Obviously not!

I just ordered one and was told it would be Monday. Didn't ask about next day, but then I have a lot of gardening to do at the weekend to pacify the wife....

Bob. That's very true. Thank god I didn't fork out 1800 quid for a D60 2 months ago.
I already have a old digital camera (Fuji MX700) which never gets used because the picture is so bad and the battery won't hold a charge. It was 700 new a few years back and represented the dog's wosnames in terms of technical quality. I have just ordered a digital for my daughter, which produces images 10 times better than the MX700 and cost me 87 quid.

As I get to borrow various ones from the office, including an S1 and S2, I didn't want to rush into a decision. Buying a digital camera is very much like buying a computer - you know it will be replaced by something better and cheaper next year, but there comes a point where you accept the quality is good enough, you really dont want to wait any more and you promise the wife you will NOT buy another for AT LEAST 5 years. Wink
I knew I wanted a Canon, so I could make use of my EOS system. Then I saw the 10D and just had to have one.
