Popped into the visitor centre on Friday lunch time, did not have time to go onto the reserve, but there were plenty of Damselflies around the small pond by the visitors centre, and one or 2 Four-spotted Chasers as well.

I know that Varied Damselfly, Scarce Chaser, White-legged Damselfly, Hairy Hawker Azure damselfly, Red-eyed damselfly are currently present on the site, should be more species by the end of the month.

Looking good, lets hope for decent weather, without the high winds that have made insect photographer almost impossible lately (always gets stronger for the weekend it seems)

I'm afraid I'm no longer able to make the 2nd July, as I will now be in Scotland visiting a seriously ill relative.

Will now revert to plan 'B' the 16th July. Anyone who can make this date is most welcome.
