Quote:I guess epz has a new sponsor.
Are other manufacturers going to get their own area, eg. Canon Contry, Pentax Place, etc, or will we soon see a rebranding to eNIKONzine?
Lol!
Nikon have been on site since day one - we're just doing something different this year to create more of a Nikon community.
Re. the others... watch this space

Quote:great idea...nice to be able to compare shots from similar models
Sure is a good idea, Especially for those who want to see the output from Nikon cameras.
But I don't think comparing shots from one model to the next will neccesarily show how good or not so good a camera is......

Because as we all know perfectly well, Its the photographer who takes the shot, Then hauls it through some software or other to produce the finished article.....

Having a brand corner is not a bad idea, So long as we don't go " Tribal " ......

A new approach . . . well, I am not a Nikon user, so you have lost me there. I realise advertising has a large part to play with websites, but I thought photography sites such as this one were meant to be neutral. To post something in the forums is a bit crass, I think. Just my opinion. As some have pointed out, it should be rebranded eNikonzine or something like that. Would be interesting to see what Nikon thinks of my opinion, but being a 'valued advertiser' they are probably kept well away from free discussions such as these!
(PS: I have nothing against Nikon, just ephotozine's blatant 'currying favour' attitude).

so what about facebook and twitter?

see your point, but can see that this might attract some none `enikonziners' to this site..
roll on
Quote: Canon Country, Sony Society, Pentax People and Olympus Organisation!
look forward to being able to see what they're all shouting about!!

I really don't understand this argument. It's not as if ePz has closed and 'Nikon Nation' has taken its place. NN is just another branch of the site, just like ePz TV, you either find something there that interests you, or you don't and you move on to a part of the site that does hold your interest.
It's a positive step toward growth, why knock it?
