As bought, and it's a well known fact, the graticule illuminator is rubbish so I have modified this one and it now works a treat. Please see my posts in an Astrophotography Forum...............

Further mod when using Declination Plate.
The other problem I encountered was trying to see through the eyepiece when the mount is tilted to 50º+ to point at the Pole Star as it is here in the uk so I bought a right angled eyepiece which is included.
I also found it quite hard to find the Pole star through the eyepiece so I bought a green laser and made an adapter to attach it to the eyepiece. Both included. Now it's just a case of attaching the laser, turn it on and point the beam at Polaris. Remove laser, attach right-angled eyepiece and there's the star.
