Just hope the pilot is OK and any civilians?

That'll give the cronies and penny pinchers in Whitehall a reason to get rid of the best display team in the world.

No firm news on the pilot as yet but it seems nobody else involved in the crash.

Pilot didn't make it........probably didn't have time to eject as he/she was soooo close to houses.....truly awful.

Listened to the whole incedent on the scanner. Radio coms between coast gaurd, police and RAF merlin helicopters stated the pilot as being Tango 4, wich unfortunatley is not good news.
My thoughts go out to all involved

"With Great Sadness i can confirm that the Pilot of the red Arrow has died no further info at this time"

Also on local Meridian news but still saying they have no news on ITN.

The plane was so low and REALLY close to houses....I just can't see how he would have had any time to eject and keep the plane away from the housing estate nr by.

Heard this on the news, at least it didn't look like pilot error, well not in my eyes anyway, although I'm sure the facts will out sooner or later. A total tragedy!!!!!

One of the lads I was chatting to on the Boscombe cliffs was monitoring the Air Traffic Control bands and told me the same - it was a tragedy (and they put on a flawless display beforehand) I wondered if he had a fuel problem, but as you say Ade, the facts will come out in time.
