FZ330 File Issue

I bought an FZ330 last week having previously owned an FZ150 & Fz1000. I usually shoot video in MP4, but having read Graham Houghton's set up tutorial, decided to use AVCHD as suggested. I shot some trial footage but when I tried to view the files in Windows 7 Professional, nothing was showing. I thought I wasn't pressing the correct buttons & had another couple of goes, nothing. So I re-set the camera back to record in MP4, bingo the files were there, has anyone a suggestions why?

I think Windows 10 Media Player has an option to play AVCHD files but I think for Windows 7 you may have to download a separate programme. Google 'AVCHD player for Windows 7' and there are some choices.

Thanks Tianshi
My Wife has a Sony CX405 & that is set to record both MP4 & AVCHD, those open OK no problems? I will check what you suggest.
Thanks Eric

Reading further on this I suspect that Panasonic will have dedicated software which you should be able to download on line. Your wife's Sony may have downloaded the corresponding Sony software which is why it downloads OK and can then be played.

Hi Tianshi
Got a suggestion from another forum, the AVCHD files are in another folder, opened the private file, then AVCHD, BDMV & stream & it worked. Now I've tried it, it doesn't work well with my PTE slide show software, jerky motion. Switched back to MP4.
Thanks Again.
