G'day everyone, I am from the outer S.E. suburbs of Melbourne (the one in Australia, not Florida 
) and have been an enthusiastic DSLR photographer for the last 10 years. Back in 2010 the minister of finance gave me permission to go nuts and "get what I want". My first buy was a Canon 7D, Sigma 17-70, Tamron 70-200, Manfrotto 190 XPROB w Manfrotto 498RC2 head and a few other bits and pieces.
Last year my 7D and 17-70 were stolen from my car and insurance was kind enough to replace them with a 7D Mark II and the new 17-70 Contemporary lens.
I am a very happy Sigma user and all but one of my lenses is a Sigma.

I sold the Tamron to finance the Tokina macro

Welcome John. Do you happen to be a member of Southern Suburbs Photographic Society? My own Club in Cheltenham, England has an annual competition with this Melbourne club.
