Six! Goodness me. Perhaps the males are out foraging for their women-folk at home.
I haven't seen "my" blackbirds for a couple of years now. I think it's because I stopped putting feed on the ground as it encouraged a whole crowd of pigeons every day, and rats. Shame.
I was stood in my hide (aka sitting room) watching the snow falling, when I saw the leaves under our hazels were 'boiling'. When I looked through my camera I saw a flock of Redwing, tossing the leaves right, left and center!!

Things are moving insect wise here in my part of France, This morning I saw a brimstone fluttering about plus a hummingbird moth feeding on the rosemary and the bees seem to be on every flowering plant.
We are set for a period of warmish sunshine over the next few weeks so fingers crossed.
