Happy New year

Happy New Year to all.
I do, however, get the impression that we all (World, Earth, People) are living on a big Monopoly board which is being 'slowly' destroyed by greed, pollution, industry, wars, ignorance and that no amount of money will be able to recover the situation.
(In other words you cannot play Monopoly without a board!)
At 76 years of age I won't be around to see the result but I am not optimistic.

Oh I expect people were saying that 200 and even 2000 years ago! I wouldn't worry.

Destruction more likely if we get hit by an asteroid. Happy New Year!

200 years ago there was no prospect of the oil reserves running out, forests being destroyed wholesale, clean water being rationed, industrialised murder, and the continuing ambitionof third World populations
I'd give it 50- 80 years before these things become unmanageable.
