I hope that someone here can help me as I am at the edge, I have recently had to rebuild my PC due to BIOS corruption I have ( or HAD) 3 external harddrives which I used for storage one I can live without but the other one had all my pictures on it and it sounds as though it is stuck, when my PC unexpectly shutdown ( bless little fingers)
Is there anyway of retrieving this data or have I lost it for good, the drive just makes a faint whirring sound but nil power getting to it

All help appreciated and thanks very much in advance for any help

Data can usually be recovered but if you don't know how to do it and take it to be recovered it can be expensive. This may not be the complete answer, but there's some useful info/advice here.
