Help please

Can anyone tell me how to override the Canon software to reimport again pictures that I have uploaded and then deleted off my hardrive (They are still safe on the CF card). I keep getting the message there are no new pictures on this device or words to that effect. I've even tried downloading to different hardrive and its still saying no new pictures can be detected. Grrr. this is really bugging me. Thank you all.

If you are using windows, then using Windows Explorer, navigate through to the CF card and download to your desktop, or wherever you want to save them.
If you have Adobe Bridge you can use the File/Get Photos from Camera.
Or lastly take the card out from the camera and use a card reader.
I can't tell you how to do it in Lightroom, I don't use it.

I just looked at the instructions for the EOS Utility and it does state that you cannot upload images that have been previously uploaded which seems to be a crazy restriction. In Lightroom, you have an option (tick box) as to whether you are happy to have duplicates or block them. Personally, I normally block them as I also have LR write the complete upload to my NAS as well which I keep for 3 -6 months just in case I delete a file and change my mind though I have never done so. I would normally re-format my cards fairly soon after. There are clearly ways round your problem such as suggested above. I assume that you do not have LR or you would be using it.

Actually the EOS Utility does give you the option to download ALL images See here

But apparently the OP is using Zoom Browser which is an older utility and perhaps does not have the same capabilities as the new EOS Utility
The latest EOS Utility can be downloaded HERE
