How difficult is it to replace an LCD screen on an Olympus Pen EP-3

I have no first hand knowledge of this but, as a professional electronics engineer, I thought about converting my spare DSLR to Infrared as it would be significantly cheaper than paying an expert company. Having investigated what had to be done and how, I concluded that I was capable of doing the conversion. However, it did require some skill and I reckoned that I could do a really good job by the 5th conversion. Wisely I sent my camera to the experts who guaranteed to get it right first time which they did.

Thanks Dave...I found a YouTube video and although it didn't look too difficult I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it. Incidentally I found a company online who do camera repairs. They quoted £84 to provide the parts, labour and postage, which sounded quite reasonable. On balance I've found an EP-3 at a comparable price and have ordered it. Another toy to play with 😀

I changed the LCD on a canon 700D, it cost me £20 off eBay. It’s a swivelling screen, I sat with a light up magnifying glass and a set of jewellers screwdrivers. I managed to do it in about twenty minutes, was very fiddly to do though. Has worked perfectly ever since.
Having done it I would attempt it again
