I just got a Canon 580exii speedlight and 2 270 exii to use for slaves. I have followed the instructions in the manual to disable the master so that only the slaves will fire, but they will not fire unless the master is on and fires too. Any suggestions?

I've got a couple of Hahnel radio triggers - big advantage over the ST-E2 is that they don't have to be in line of sight of the units you want to fire - you lose the ETTL II feature though as everything has to be in manual.
