I think people can and should be allowed to submit the images they want, as long as they do not break site rules.

On a personal level I do not go in for the arty/rubbish? type of images that seem to have been uploaded in abundance just lately and have on the whole ignored them.

Each to their own.

Perhaps I am being a little pedantic here but I see the reader gallery images as images posted by people who want to have feedback. I quite like the variety of images and comments/critiques they illicit and I have learned a lot from both. Is this the sort of response you were after? If not you will have to be more specific. John.

I think for the site to be healthy we have to have a good variety of photographs. An arty photo may not appeal, but sometimes it may give you a good idea to try on one of your own. If you don't like you can, as Barry says, skip on to the next.

I may have the wrong end of the stick here but I posted a short comment on a photo stating I thought it was knocking on the door of fine art, is this what we are talking about? I will elaborate on any picture comments I make if requested although they are often consigned to the dungeons at an alarming rate. John.

Thanks to you all,
I do agree some picture do spark something in you to be able to interpret them differently... good or bad, its OK (yes it is) to have a cross section of work, it gives the mind somewhere to go. I like to get others views; I can then see things in a different light... & yes, you dont have to comment although it is awful hard not to join inwhen you feel very strongly about a bad image..or what you think is..
John you are right up the wrong tree thank-you
Happy New Year to you All

At last, I found the image that people have been talking about!!!!! I've had a private email concerning the work but didn't realise it related to this image. Thanks John for pointing me roughly to the cause of concern. So, not being anyway medically inclined I hadn't realised the extent of concern, thanks for the clarity JP. My view is that we have to acknowledge all types of photographer on this site/some will offend, some will bore some will make you think what the...? But if it's pornographic or, in this case, suspect it will be removed and the offending picture and, unfortunately, all the interesting comments have gone with it.
In future if any pictures are sent that people do not believe should be on the site please report the id number of the picture to draw my attention to the exact photo with an email to me. Also try to be understanding to styles and artist integrity and avoid just trying to remove pics because you don't like them.
And Pablo I hope this doesn't offend you as I've been watching the comments you've made in various forums and find your views bring a fresh and welcome aspect to the site that I'd hate to lose.

Well I am a little disappointed. In the short time I had to look at Pablo's recent pictures I found them in no way offensive, some of the comments made however obviously were. It is a shame that the picture had to go.
Sorry night nurse for being so slow on the uptake and possibly ruining your thread, I obviously misunderstood from the start. John.

It's only the xray shot that has been removed John. I find many of Pablo's other images fascinating.
