HP Firmware for Inkjet 1200

I have an old inkjet 1200 that has been sitting gathering dust, however I still have plenty of ink and a set of brand new print heads. The old heads are blocked so I decided to replace them. Just for day to day printing instead of using all the ink in my canon printer.

Problem is the printer firmware needs updating to use the print heads as per the instructions on HP Website, however the page they send me to does not list any links for the firmware for this printer .

Any idea where the firmware may be listed other than the HP site as I've searched there high and low to no avail.

The error is all lights are on after new heads installed. HP site says upgrade firmware to fix.

Seems they stopped listing the updated firmware

I found this: http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=39877531155aeae184d2466d325

Can't guarantee it's pukka, though, or even the right file.

Cheers for the link, anything is worth a try as it would be a shame bin to the printer just because of a firmware issue.

I searched loads of pages in various forums etc and came up with nowt, so your link is much appreciated. Smile

I'm away from the PC at the mo but will update the thread when I try it
