HTML5 or HTML....Confused!

30 Oct 2014 9:24PM
I wondered if anyone would be able to advise....

I've signed up for a Foliopic website and would like to take a short on-line course in HTML & CSS to allow me to tailor my website to suit my needs.

My confusion is that when I've looked at the available courses there are many for HTML5 which seems to be the latest version.

Would anyone know if HTML5 is compatible with Foliopic or if I should sign up for the HTML course instead?

I predict a frustrating couple of months ahead...I've only just signed up for my Foliopic website and I'm pulling my hair out already Tongue

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer guys.

HTML 5 is the latest most widely used HTML standard.

If you can learnt to write some simple HTML with Notepad , save it as mypage.html and then open it in your browser then do the course and you'll be able to get to grips with and create documents in all versions of HTML

If you are unable to do the simple Notepad test then it's not for you.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for this it's very helpful. I've had a look and it seems like something I would enjoy learning.

I've signed up now for an HTML5 on-line training course and can't wait to get started.

My main problem I guess is going to be finding the time Tongue

Thanks again for taking the time to help me - it's much appreciated.
