Why has it taken 20-years to get a picture published?
Are you wanting to do this as a career,or is this purely from an amateurs point of view,I would like to see a photograph published.

Two different points of view here.

Being a photo-journalist,you need to start early in life, you can then take all the knocks in life and let the misfortunes to run off your back.
Later in life, you start to think, what am I doing and question your motives.(like can I pay the mortgage this week...!)

No, didn't start trying that long ago, just used to snap hubby racing and did timekeeping, marshalling and tea duties. Only really started with the website just over 2 years ago.
I have a day job and the cycling photography is a part time hobby, that has become a part time self employment. I mainly sell prints to riders via my website and do commissioned races for British Cycling.

Oh, yes, I also do team launches (especially if they are at Champneys like the last one. The lunch was lovely).
Prints seem to be flying out the door this year as well.
