IGPOTY Macro shortlist
Anyone else had images shortlisted in the Macro category?
Im thrilled to have 2 sortlisted although doubt they will choose my favourite as I was silly and used an image shot with extension tubes and a crop sensor lens on my full frame camera to shoot it ( I didnt have a macro lens for ir 6 months ago) . Its a square crop and hi res its only 2.8 MP - apparently they prefer 8MP and above. Typical that they chose the one image I cant give a very high res version of. Still Im chuffed to be short listed.
Its been a rough year as my health deteriorated about a year ago resulting in greatly reduced mobility and a loss of independence. As I couldnt get out to do portraits and landscapes, or do my usual exotic animal workshops I set myself a goal for this year - to get an image place in IGPOTY. Ive been working hard on it so thrilled to get 2 shortlisted in this early category, even if I dont get placed. Has anyone else here been shortlisted?
