Improvised lighting!!

Evening all,

Here's a question to test your inventiveness and ingenuity.
I've been thinking of taking a series of portraits of family to have framed for my Mum's birthday and I have no idea where to start.
To add to the problems I have no lighting and for the moment (I am saving but life keeps pinching me money) no budget to buy any.
Is there any way I could improvise a half decent means of taking these pics or am I just whistling in the wind?

Any help gratefully received

Andy

(Oh, and I've not even got a flash apart from on camera)

How about a nice outdoor shoot?

Totally agree with John.

White sheet for a reflector - bit of white styro-whatsit foam - just get it and do it.

Perfect. Natural light, minimal post-production, add a touch of warmth to the finished results - everyone's a winner.

Sounds good. I'm just printing the destructions now.
I think I'll try some outdoor shots as well, if we ever get a half decent day.

Cheers

Andy
