Amazing work, what a set up he uses - between 8,000 to 10,000 images stacked.
2 to 3 weeks to complete the processing for a final image. Mind blowing stuff.

And I was looking forward to doing more insect photography this year after the dearth of them last summer Grin
But rather than put me off it's inspired me to try harder and be more critical of my results.

It doesn't really impress me.
Try one image with a live animal.
Not a microscope on a dead animal.

The point is, look at the level of detail that has been captured. If you think you can do this with a live insect in one shot, go ahead and show us.
