iPad Air (2020) or iPad Pro (2020)

I've been looking at updating my iPad (currently a Mini 2), with the idea of using it too edit photos whilst 'on the move', the ability to transfer images between my camera and an external SSD and to use it as a second screen when paired to my laptop.
I had been contemplating an iPad Pro 11" (the 12.9" looks nice, but a little expensive!) When I went to my local Apple store, the assistant suggested using an iPad Air. She suggested that the principal difference between the iPad Air and the iPad Pro is the built-in camera - not a priority for me.
With the size of the 10.9" iPad Air and 11" iPad Pro being so close, I don't see this as an issue. The principle difference (as far as I can see), is the 'Promotion' in the iPad Pro which the iPad Air doesn't have. Would photographers benefit from this? Are there any other differences I should look for?
Can anyone advise if the iPad Pro is worth the extra cost?
Thanks

I have used an iPad Pro for my photo editing since they came out.... my current model is about a year old.....
I transfer my photographs from camera to iPad via a UNL multi card connector, with the iPad connector.... it places pics to be processed into a folder ....
I then use...... PIXELMATOR..... PIXELMATOR PRO.... PLUS DARKROOM ...photo editing apps ...you can see my latest results in my portfolio.
I also have an external SSD drive.... on which to store photographs if I like.....mine is a San-Disk 250 G DRIVE. with iPad and standard USB connectors...
