hi all, it is taking me forever to view a picture, or do anything on EPZ, is it my computer or is it happening to anyone else?

Try a good clean with such as defrag. So easy to blame the computer when it could be simply fragmentation.

Simple, the red triangle is one square taller than the green. So to form the triangle the yellow block has to also be moved one square down. So there is the extra square.

Raziel , i think thats not quite it, if you count 5 squares along the base from right to left in the red triangle you can see that the line doesnt cross the line exactly whereas in the green triangle it does so in other words the angle is steeper in one of the triangles so thats where the extra area is, am i right anyone?

ps apologies for hi-jack but Maddie seems to be ok now

Ha Ha yes, I see it now, it's an optical illusion, in that the whole figure is not a perfect triangle, but the line changes where the parts intersect. So the top one dips near the middle a tiny bit (concave) and the bottom one bulges a tiny bit convex) so the overall area af the bottom one is different ... by the area of one square

I feel a smug sunday coming on Smile
