Hi,

unfortunately, all of the photos I took on my holidays to India & Egypt are non digital..so I only have photos & negatives.

Is their anyone who is able to convert these to digital..is their such a process?

Quite gutted really, as there are some crackers!!

Thanks folks,

Gareth

It's a pity you did not ask whoever tprinted the photos for a CD of the images......... that sort of service was being offered even 10 years ago. But too late now.

Anyway, as Rob says, just scan the prints with an all-in-one scanner/printer/photocopier. Something like a Canon Pixma MP495 for about fifty quid will do. You can spend more and get better results but if it's just for uploading to the web, a device like that will be OK.

Hi Gareth,

Why don't you scan the photographs as Rob Says. I use an Epson px720owd printer scanner with excellent results. And save wherever you want to or produce more prints.

Especially the photos - it is amazing how much dust they collect, even in an album with cling-film type protection. You will spend forever removing the specks in PS if you don't make sure they are clean.

Snappy Snap or Jessops can develop the negs and scan them to a cd as tiffs (18mb) or jpeg (6mb).

Excellent. You will need to install the scanning software, from the disk which came with the printer, if you haven't already done so. Let us know how you get on. Smile
