Every sample photo I have viewd on my PC from a Nikon D70 has the same weird problem. When viewing the exif info on photoshop, acdsee, and other exif viewers the ISO is missing and not there. Any ideas why?

It must be set to auto.. Try setting it manual because with my Canon I noticed same. it only shows me the information when I set some ISO otherwise.. NO ISO. Not sure if there is any other issue with Nikon

I think one possible answer is that the ISO rating is not a standard EXIF field. The information IS embedded in the file but it's in the 'maker notes' which is specific to the particular camera maker's latest whim. This information is visible in D70 files using IMatch (brilliant program IMHO) - the 'maker notes' are shown as well as the standard EXIF data.

Have you tried looking at the xif info by right clicking on the file and selecting properties to see if it's set there after copying it from your camera ??

My 10D gives the ISO setting even if set automatically.

I am fairly sure ISO Speed is standard in EXIF Version 2.2. I will check later.
