Both of these flashguns are within my budget... which is best? Maybe it's a stupid question but I don't know much about flashguns...

The Sigma, it has a much higher guide rating for a start, so is a more powerful flash. Given the Jessops ones i have handled in the past it should have a bit better construction too.

The larger the guide number the more the power output. The Sigma would be my choice even were it a lot more expensive than the Jessops because of the much higher power and better quality build.

Although the Sigma is more powerful it can not be tripped off camera and only has 1/1 or 1/16 power in manual mode. The Jessops one can be used off camera and has 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 power options in manual mode.

If you can spend the extra get the Sigma Super version. I just bought an 'as new' 360AFD from Ebay for 45.
