K&F Concept

Some products are better than others in my experience - although I can't speak about their tripods.
I once had a rucksack by them which wasn't strong enough and the stitching where the straps met the sack came undone with very little use (Lowepro are my brand of choice for rucksacks). I now have a set of k&f extension tubes which are excellent - these have lens contacts which enables the macro lens to communicate with the camera body. The construction, in contrast to the rucksack, is excellent. I'm also liking the look of their filter sets, but I'm in no hurry to change supplier for these and whilst cheaper than some the cost is still significant.
I've seen the tripods and think they look promising. However, tbh I've been using a Novo tripod for the last 3 years and I can't fault it (manfroto and giottis tripods have lasted me only 1 year on average) - its showing some signs of wear now, but spares are easily purchased. When I look to change I'll probably stick to the brand.

Just a thought, but the last "The Photo Show" that took place in the NMC had a large K&F Concept stand. The show is back on in a physical form this September - it might be worth holding off and taking a look at the gear before you buy (although you could probably return it easily enough via Amazon or similar). Certainly it would give you chance to measure them up against the competition.

Quote:With tripods imho buy the best you can afford at the time, buy cheap buy 2 or 3 times.
Ive had a manfrotto 055B for nearly 20 years, cost around 130 plus 50 ish for the head, its had its knocks and stuff, but both head and tripod still function perfectly and should do another 10 years easily.
Those Aluminium 055s are great, proper workhorses but kind of heavy. Mine is about the same age as yours and still going strong too, but studio only now.

The carbon fibre version is only 0.5kg lighter ( 2kg v 2.5kg ) but double the price, not worth the extra imo, I carry mine practically everywhere.
As has been mentioned above, you cant really get light, sturdy and cheap, something has to give
