What is it with all you guys and Kingfishers?
I regularly visit the Gallery to view the latest submissions, and the most prolific contribution always seems to be Kingfishers! On almost every single page, there is invariably at least one.

I've always had the impression that you could upload whatever you wish onto the site?

I don't have any kingfisher images myself but each to their own really.

You could say the same for flowers, landscapes, nudes etc.

I must admit I would love the opportunity to be able to take some photos of kingfishers the ones
Posted in the galleries.Plenty of time and skill required and plenty of wasted images too I would imagine.

Speaking for myself they are elusive, you often only get fleeting glimpses of them and they fly like bullets. You need a combination of patience to wait for ages but react quickly when they finally turn up. Fortunately it is becoming easier to see them, so you have a perfect challenge. And to cap it all off they are damned pretty critters.

Assymetric nostrils? Wink

Personally, I like them in a pie. Steak'n'Kitteny, of course.
