On the link it sounds as if I don't need one or what does it mean by Storage included 16 MB Internal

Yes, it has 16MB built-in. This isn't a lot though, and you can pick up a 512MB card for about 12.

I presume Kodak 512MB Secure Digital ( SD ) Card is ok
Also what rechargable batteries do I need?

According to this link (as already linked to by SCG above), then the camera takes: AA (2) batteries (NiMH recommended).

Hope that helps.

Any make of SD card should be OK. Get Ni-Mh batteries, as high a rating as possible (2500mAh would be great).

Whatever one you want. Depends how fast you want it to charge the batteries (mine does 4 2500mAh AAs in 2 hours).

Regarding the Memory card, on Amazon it says "Works with SD Card Readers and all laptops (adapter required)". I will be getting this for my Mum, & It will be used firstly via processor (eg Max Speilman to get imsges off card, if at a later date I whished to use the card with my PC with a card reader, that I would use with my 350D would I risk a virus passed on by the stores card reader? Is there a way of checking the card for viruses anyway?

I've never heard of anyone getting a virus from using a shop's print-PC thingy.

How do you check for, or block, viruses currently? You should be using a virus checker on your PC anyway.
