Kodak Professional Film?

Just had a mysterious delivery from Kodak Professional Films. A box with 8 135-36 film and 8 120. No covering letter or return address. Not sure what the cost would be to purchase this lot, but think it must be a bit expensive.

Don't think I entered any comps for film either.

Suprising thing is I am not using film at the moment and have no idea who/why I should be sent them. Anyone else had anything similar.

The films are Porta 160NC, 400NC, 160VC & 400VC. There are 4 of each type in both formats.

Whilst I still have my minolta 7000 + a f1.8 50mm prime lens, I have no idea what cameras now take 120. Though not sure if I would buy one just to use up eight filmsSmile

I know that Kodak in the US were sending packs of their "new" Portra films to current and previous customers, so looks like you must be on a listing somewhere. If you don't want them, why not bung them on here and ask for a donation for Comic Relief?

Thanks for the info snapper. Don't think I have ever bought any Kodak products though. I never liked their pro-gold film.

Was very disappointed with the results once one holiday and never bought them again.

As to this lot, I have a friend who has a medium format and I might just get my old Minolta out and go back to having to think seriously about all the procedures for taking photos again.

Might give me a boost and also show if film is as good as digital or the reverse.

3.50 for 400 TriX or T-Max is not cheap!

Calumet list Tri-X at 2.49
