This comment triggered by an (excellent) gallery photo by Mac, of an expo of travel photos.

Is it just me or is landscape photography gradually morphing into "getting to the wildest/hardest place" photography ? Unless you have an active volcano, a desert or an iceberg in the shot it's not worth the effort ?
I think I'll stick to street photos, the travelling is less expensive !

You could always add an iceberg or volcano into your pics from the comfort of your own home, seriously though, getting out of the house and snapping a dramatic sky now and then does it for me although my preference is bird/wildlife photography.

I can't see La Palma from up here. Even my 600mm lens can not reach it. Grrrrrr
