'War of the Worlds' I have the original 2LP set of that too. The The -'Infected' CD is one I play regularly, great stuff. Think the last LP album I bought was a used 'Anthology' Marvin Gaye. I still have a Pink Triangle GT deck, as well as 10 other bits of Audio electronics on two racks. Bit of a Lifelong Hobby.

"Employment" by Kaiser Chiefs.

Bit like, Madness meets Blur. Catchy "cockney" pop songs.

Col,

I dusted off my CD copy of War of the Worlds earlier this year and played it on a trip down to the coast. I've never known my kids to be so quiet!, I think it scared the living daylights out of my 2 year old! (lol)

Nonetheless, a classic album, true to the original book (far, far better than the films/radio efforts).

Its a scary Album sure enough, It's Richard Burton oratory that's so realistic. I will never forget the first time I listened to the hatch unscrewing!!!!!

I only have WOTW on tape - must record it to CD so I can play it on the way down to Wales on Saturday. If it keeps my kids quiet it'll be a miracle Smile

Mother Earth by Within Temptation - a rather unique Dutch band that makes and plays English rock music with a Celtic twist. (Now, is that international or what?!)
